Brian T. Hughes MD

Biography

Dr. Brian Hughes was born in Jackson, TN. and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from Wheaton College in Chicago, he attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he graduated in 2005. He completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at UAMS and entered private practice in 2012.

Dr. Hughes offers customized treatment and management plans for patients suffering from issues of the gastrointestinal tract, treating conditions such as Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. He is recognized as a local expert in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

He regularly attends national conferences on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and consults frequently with IBD experts across the country as he stays current on advanced treatment options for his patients.

Dr. Hughes met his wife (who is a Pediatrician) in medical school and together they have seven children. He enjoys coaching youth soccer, teaching children’s Sunday School, and trying to keep up with his busy family.
